Espino extends ECQ in Pangasinan until April 14

(FACEBOOK / MANILA BULLETIN) Espino based his EO on the report of health authorities on April 4 saying that there were 28 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Pangasinan, seven of whom have passed away. Health authorities also noted that, just five days ago, the figures were 13 COVID-19 cases, and five deaths. Meanwhile, the Sta. Barbara Halfway House has opened for patients who were already cleared of COVID-19, but who just need to complete their remaining quarantine requirements. On April 3 , the provincial government of Pangasinan has sent its personnel to man the the Sta. Barbara Halfway House. The first team was led by Provincial Health Officer Anna Maria Teresa De Guzman, and they will stay at the halfway house until April 12. De Guzman was joined by two pavilion nurses on duty, one fetcher staff, one admitting and sending staff, two ambulance drivers, and one support staff. Dispatched to secure the area were officers from the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police. Phase 1 of the isolation facility has a 20-bed capacity, while Phase 2 will have 10 beds. Another team will be led by Asst. Provincial Health Officer Cielo Almoite, and will start duty on April 13. The teams will also undergo self-quarantine after their respective duties.
