Senatorial aspirant and retired police general Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar tested positive for the coronavirus, the latest among the political personalities who were infected by the virus.
But Eleazar, in a statement, said he is asymptomatic.

"Tonight, I received the RT-PCR result which showed that I am infected with the coronavirus for the first time," said Eleazar in a statement released on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
"I am asymptomatic and will continuously observe the home isolation protocol of the Department of Health until I am cleared to go out," he added.
Eleazar belongs to the Partido Reporma, whose standard bearer Sen. Panfilo Lacson announced earlier that he contracted the virus.
He got his coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine last year.
"I enjoin the public to get their jabs and booster shots as soon as these are available, because this is what the government’s vaccination program is all about — to prevent serious effects of COVID infection," said Eleazar.
