Duterte-Carpio most preferred 2022 vice-presidential pick in Pulse Asia survey

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio emerged as the top pick among the vice-presidential candidates in the 2022 elections, based on a non-commissioned Pulse Asia survey conducted from Jan. 19 to 24.

The survey results released by Pulse Asia on Sunday, Feb. 13, found 50 percent of Filipinos expressed support for the vice-presidential bid of Duterte-Carpio in the 2022 polls.

Support for the Davao City mayor was highest among those in Mindanao with 84 percent.

Forty-seven percent and 40 percent of those in Visayas and National Capital Region, respectively, also expressed their support for Duterte-Carpio.

Duterte-Carpio was followed by Senator Vicente Tito Sotto (29 percent), Senator Kiko Pangilinan (11 percent), Willie Ong (five percent), and Lito Atienza (one percent).

Meanwhile, Manny Lopez and Carlos Serapio got 0.1 percent each.
