DOH to verify 3rd nCov case in PH as 105 patients under watch

"Yes, there is, but we will give the report tomorrow because we will have a cabinet meeting mamaya (later)," the secretary confirmed in an interview Tuesday afternoon after a Senate hearing. "Just two (confirmed cases) and one for verification," Duque said, noting that they have yet to determine whether or not the patient came from Wuhan. Meanwhile, the number of patients under investigation (PUIs) for 2019-novel coronavirus infection in the Philippines reached 105 on Tuesday, the Department of Health said. From a total of 80 PUIs Monday, the agency reported an additional 25 cases under investigation in eight regions in the country. The National Capital Region has nine new PUIs, Central Visayas has five new cases, Calabarzon has four, while the other new PUIs are scattered in Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Western and Eastern Visayas, and Davao. The new cases under investigation were added to the 67 PUIs currently admitted and isolated. Ten of them have been discharged under strict monitoring. The rise in the number of PUIs came after continuous contact tracing conducted by the DOH Epidemiology Bureau.
