Statistics at the Department of Health (DOH) revealed a whopping 764 novel coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) cases in Quezon City, a far over the 580 validated cases reported by the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (QCESU) as of 7 p.m. of April 11.
The 764 DOH COVID-19 recorded cases is 123 more than the previous 641 but the validated COVID-19 cases of the QCESU has remained unchanged at 580.
Efforts to seek an explanation as to why the QCESU COVID-19 cases stood still at 580 proved futile as several queries to local personnel were unanswered.
With two additional deaths, the count now stood at 60 while the 10 new recoveries has brought the total to 45 during the same period.
From the previous 591 COVID-19 confirmed cases with addresses in Quezon City the number zoomed to 659 for an increase of 68.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Quezon City which refers to those who are still alive and have not fully recovered was 475 down by 12 from the previous tally of 487.
