DOH-8 reports new five cases of COVID-19; Eastern Visayas total now at 205

PALO, Leyte - The Department of Health Regional Office 8 (DOH-8) reported five new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Eastern Visayas on Tuesday, June 16.
DOH-8 Director Dr. Minerva Molon said the five new cases brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region to 205.
Molon reported that the Eastern Visayas Regional Covid-19 Testing Center (EVRCTC) released 71 laboratory results with 66 negative and five positives.
Molon said that the new five COVID-19 positives were tagged as patient EV-201 to 205.
She said that patient EV-201 was a four-year-old, male from Bato, Leyte, a locally stranded individual (LSI) who returned home recently.
Patient EV-202 was a 35-year-old male from Ormoc City, with no known travel history.
On the other hand, patients EV-203, 34-year-old male; EV-204 a 42-year-old male; and EV-205 a 44-year-old male were all LSIs who arrived in Ormoc City recently.
