PALO, Leyte - The Department of Health regional office 8 (DOH-8) has reported four new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Eastern Visayas bringing the total number of cases in the region to 76.
DOH-8 Regional Director Dr. Minerva Molon, in an interview with Manila Bulletin, said that Eastern Visayas Regional COVID-19 Testing Center, based in Tacloban City, released a total of 224 results wherein 220 of them were negative and 4 turned out positive.
The new COVID-19 positive cases were tagged as Patients EV-73 to EV 76, the director said
Molon also reported that patient EV-73 is a 38-year-old male while patient EV-74 is a 37-year-old male, both from Ormoc City, and were locally stranded individuals from Cebu City who arrived last May 30, 2020 in the city.
Patient EV-75 is a 48-year-old male from La Paz, Leyte and an overseas Filipino worker from Saudi Arabia who arrived last May 28, 2020.
