Good Friday, in the Universal Prayer, Bishops will arrange to have a special intention prepared for those who find themselves in distress, the sick, the dead. The adoration of the Cross by kissing shall be limited solely to the celebrant," Baylon said in his Diocesian Circular.
Easter Vigil will be celebrated only in Cathedral and parish churches, Baylon said.
"The Baptismal Liturgy and the Renewal of Baptismal Promises will be maintained," the bishop noted.
Fr. Rex Arjona also added that, on Holy Thursday, ivestreaming Mass will be held at 4 p.m. and will be followed by the roaming of Holy Sacrament in the villages of the province.
"Maghanda ng mga kandila at maliit na altar sa harap ng inyong mga bahay na dadaanan ng Banal na Sakramento. Luluhod po tayo sa pagdaan ng Banal na Sakramento," Fr. Rex said.
Meanwhile, former Albay 3rd District Congressman Fernado Gonzales told the Manila Bulletin that Kawa-Kawa Hill will be closed during Holy Week.
Kawa-Kawa Natural Park, which is located in Barangay Tuburan, Ligao City, is among the most visited destination for pilgrims, faithful and devotees undertaking the Stations of the Cross.
"We have 200,000 devotees and visitors who come to the Kawa-Kawa during the Lenten season and particularly the Holy Week for Station of the Cross. With this situation no one is allowed to come. I am saddened," Gonzales said.
