The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday reported 38 new confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases among Filipinos abroad, 25 new recoveries and one new death, all recorded in Asia and the Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

This brings the latest number of Filipinos afflicted with COVID-19 t to 2,233 cases covering 46 countries and regions worldwide.
Despite the increase, the DFA noted that the number of those who recovered remains more than twice than the total number of fatalities and is now 30 percent of the total confirmed cases.
Of the total, 1,303 are live cases or patients undergoing treatment, 669 recoveries and 261 succumbed to the disease.
