DFA reports 36 new COVID-19 cases, 80 recoveries among Filipinos abroad

Overseas Filipinos have registered 36 new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and 80 new recoveries in the latest tally released by the Department of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

One fatality was recorded in the tally.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries among our nationals abroad to 15,928 and 9,645, respectively. Of the total, 5,239 are undergoing treatment while 1,044 individuals have died since the outbreak of the pandemic in February last year.
The Middle East and Africa remain as the region with the most number in all categories, namely, total cases (8,881); recoveries (4756); under treatment (3,453), and deaths (672).
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, remains fully committed to monitoring and assisting our nationals abroad amid the pandemic,” the department said in a statement. #
