The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported six new cases of COVID-19 among overseas Filipinos, bringing the total number of infected to 1,343.

The DFA also monitored three recoveries and one death among the COVID19-stricken Filipinos abroad, while the latest report it received from Europe raised the number of countries with Filipino COVID-19 patients to 44.
Of the total, 827 overseas Filipinos are still undergoing treatment in various hospitals and medical facilities worldwide, 331 have recovered, and 185 have died due to the disease.
“The DFA will continue to monitor the status of our people abroad and will keep on rallying the observance of preventive measures against COVID-19 pandemic,” it said.
