DFA bares 35 new cases of Pinoys with COVID-19 outside PH; total now 280

Thirty-five overseas Filipinos outside the Philippines have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed cases among Filipinos abroad to 280, and 108 of them have recovered, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) bared Saturday.
Of the 280 positive cases, 168 overseas Filipinos are undergoing treatment in 28 countries and regions, the DFA said.
According to the latest DFA data, the 280 overseas Filipinos, who tested positive for COVID-19, are from Asia and Pacific, Europe, Middle East/Africa, and Americas. Of the total number of cases, 140 were verified by the Department of Health.
In Asia Pacific countries, 130 Filipinos have tested positive for the disease, 86 of them have already recovered.
In the Middle East and Africa, 47 Filipinos have contracted the disease, 44 of them remain under treatment. In Europe, 81 Filipinos turned out positive for the disease, 73 of them are still undergoing treatment.
In Americas, 22 cases of Covid-19 among Filipinos were reported, 14 of them have been discharged.
Overseas Filipinos who succumbed to COVID-19 were reported in Asia Pacific, Middle East or Africa, and Europe.
