DFA: 2nd Filipino under nCoV quarantine in HK 'healthy,' no sign of illness
By Roy Mabasa
The second Filipino who is under quarantine in Hong Kong following her exposure to the 2019 novel coronavirus (nCoV) is “healthy and asymptomatic,” the Department of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

DFA Assistant Secretary Eduardo Meñez said just like the first case, she will need to undergo the regulatory 14-day quarantine per Hong Kong protocol.
The unnamed Filipina household worker was exposed to her employer who tested positive for the new coronavirus.
Meñez said the Philippines is working closely with relevant government agencies to extend immediate assistance to Filipinos undergoing quarantine abroad.
This developed as some 40 Filipinos in various parts of China have expressed their intention to be repatriated back to the Philippines.
In a television interview, DFA Undersecretary Ernesto Abella said they have established contact lines in the Philippine Embassy in Beijing and in the country’s various consulates across China where Filipinos can ask or convey their health concerns.
Following Malacañang’s earlier directives, those who will be repatriated from China and its special administrative regions Hong Kong and Macau shall undergo the 14-day quarantine process as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the virus.
