DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health (DOH) Davao Center for Health Development (DCHD) reported five more cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the region on Tuesday.
The DOH said that, as of 5 p.m., 205 persons were tested, and 2.4 percent of the specimen processed tested positive.
It said all the positive cases were from Davao City, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Davao City to 416. The five new cases were all asymptomatic.
The DOH added that the region now has 534 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 142 active cases.
The DOH also announced the successful recovery of a 33-year-old female from Davao City. The patient from Barangay 23-C was identified as PH24315, and had unknown travel and exposure history.
The DOH added that the patient was an asymptomatic and was admitted on June 6. Davao City currently has a total of 306 successful recoveries, while the region has a total of 359 recoveries.
The region has so far tallied 33 fatalities due to the virus.
