DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health Davao Center for Health Development has recorded at least 41 new cases of coronavirus disease in the region on Thursday night.
The region now has a total of 689 cases with 230 still active cases. The DOH said 189 of the active cases were asymptomatic, 37 showed mild symptoms, and four cases were severe.
Based on the DOH’s Regional Situation Update on COVID-19, as of 5 p.m., Thursday, 32 more cases were recorded in Davao City and nine in Davao Oriental. Davao City has recorded a total of 516 cases, 319 of which are still active.
The provincial government of Davao Oriental, however, reported that they have 10 new cases.
The DOH has not yet released the profiles of the latest cases.
Meanwhile, Davao Oriental province has released a statement stating that seven of the new cases were passengers from Manila, one from Davao City, and one was a returning overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Saudi Arabia.
The DOH has also recorded 20 recoveries, bringing the total number of those who have successfully recovered to 426.
Thirteen of those who have recovered were from Davao City, three from Davao Oriental, and two each from Davao del Sur and Davao de Oro.
