KIDAPAWAN CITY – The only confirmed case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in General Santos City has already tested negative after his fourth test, an official from the Department of Health Center for Health Development in Soccsksargen region (DOH-CHD 12).
Arjohn Gangoso, spokesperson for DOH-12, said results of the Oropharyngeal swab (OPS) test of PH3669 taken last May 3 tested negative. This was his fourth test, Gangoso said.
He tested positive in his third OPS test, which was taken last April 28, and was told to undergo another OPS test.
Results on PH3669’s latest test came out on May 7, the DoH-12 said.
“Currently, PH3669 is stable and completing the 14-day strict home quarantine,” the DoH-12 said in a press statement.
He will soon return to his residence but will have to undergo another 14 days of home quarantine.
The region has 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with three still in isolation facilities, including PH3989 from Kidapawan City. There have been 30 deaths of suspect COVID-19 patients.
