For two consecutive days, the Department of Foreign Affairs did not receive reports of coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-related fatalities among Filipinos abroad and the cases of new recoveries continue to outnumber new confirmed cases.

Based on the latest figures transmitted from the various foreign service missions, the DFA reported only nine new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Americas and the Middle East and 15 new recoveries from across all regions.
As of May 15, 2020, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases of overseas Filipinos stands at 2,331; those undergoing treatment at 1,273; recoveries or discharged from the hospital at 789, and fatalities at 269.
Europe remains the region with the biggest number of Filipinos infected with the disease (687), closely followed by the Middle East and Africa (684), the Americas (535), and the Asia Pacific Region (425).
The foreign affairs office, meanwhile, expressed its commitment to continue assisting Filipinos abroad whenever possible and monitor their status as the world grapples with the scourge of the pandemic.
