The Bulacan Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported on Wednesday, Jan. 5, that COVID-19 active cases in Bulacan jumped to 1,275 from 392 on Jan. 2.

The PHO said another 518 positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 93,066. A total of 90,455 have recovered.
Of the 1,127 active cases, 48 are admitted in the hospitals, 17 are in a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), while 1,062 are under home isolation.
One additional death was reported, bring the total number of COVID-19-related fatalities to 1,484. The highest reported active cases were from the City of Malolos, City of San Jose Del Monte, and the town of Marilao.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando instructed Liz Mungcal of the Provincial Risk Reduction and Management Office to deploy vehicles with a public address playing the COVID-19 prayer.
Fernando ordered that while the vehicles are roaming around the province, the public address system should also encourage Bulakenyos to practice social distancing, the wearing of face masks, and frequent hand washing.
