Contacts of the late Mayor who tested positive for COVID-19 urged to undergo home quarantine
KABAYAN, Benguet – The municipal health authorities here has advised those who came in close contact with the late Kabayan Mayor Faustino Aquisan to undergo home quarantine and wait for the assessment and recommendations of contact tracing teams.
The advisory was issued after the two swab tests taken from the late Mayor Aquisan, who died on March 21, turned positive for COVID-19.

Aquisan was rushed to the Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital on Saturday (March 20) due to cardiac arrest where he eventually expired.

The mayor was tested at Kabayan prior to being rushed to the hospital, which was repeated at the medical facility. Both positive test results were received on Sunday evening after the official was declared dead.

He was immediately cremated as a medical procedure.

Kabayan municipal thru acting Mayor Basilio Louie Daoal issued an advisory that the whole public market will be placed under critical zone (temporary lockdown) and will be closed today, March 22, until further notice to give way for thorough disinfection.
