The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is now left with only four commissioners.

This, following the retirement of the three members of the en banc on Wednesday, Feb. 2.
Those who retired are Comelec Chairman Sheriff Abas, Commissioners Rowena Guanzon and Antonio Kho.
The remaining members of the en banc are Commissioners Socorro Inting, Marlon Casquejo, Aimee Ferolino, and Rey Bulay.
Inting will serve as acting chairman of the Comelec starting Feb. 3.
Guanzon said this is while waiting for President Duterte to appoint the new head of the poll body.
Last month, Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez explained what will happen to the pending petitions when the commissioners retire.
"When they retire either they are able to clear their dockets or if something will be left that will be inherited by incoming commissioners. That has been the practice eversince," he said.
