ComClark Network and Technology Corporation showcases SATCOM on the Move
Optimized satellite connectivity designed for seamless communication and internet access
I recently witnessed how the state-of-the-art SATCOM on the Move (SOTM) system works. To demonstrate its capabilities, we were invited by Converge ICT Solutions to go on a cruise around Subic Bay on a yacht with SATCOM installed on board. Using the Kymeta U8 satellite antenna, this communication system does not require mechanical components to steer toward a satellite, and it can make connecting nearly any vehicle, vessel, or fixed platform easy.
SATCOM on the Move (SOTM) system was developed by ComClark Network and Technology Corporation, a system integrator and value-added service provider of internet network broadband communications technology and broadcast service solutions. SOTM solution is designed to provide always-on connectivity for mobile users, including emergency responders, government agencies, and businesses. The solution uses satellite communications to provide users with high-speed, low-latency internet access.
My Speedtest of the internet connectivity, with zero mobile signal, gave me a consistent 30MBPS. I made a video call to my son in Laguna and tried movie streaming services with no problem.
"The connectivity is software-defined. You don't need to re-scan to get a signal; it automatically looks for a signal and connects for uninterruptible satellite communications even if you are mobile." Said Dennis Anthony Uy, Co-Founder & CEO of ComClark Network and Technology Corporation. "The u8 antenna is low profile and aerodynamic, can get its power from a car battery, and has best-in-class tracking for communications on the move," Uy added.
When asked who will best benefit from this technology, Dennis Uy replied: "Whether on the road or at sea, staying connected is essential for personal and professional reasons. Our SATCOM on the Move solution allows users to enjoy online web browsing, streaming movies, or catching up on emails without any hassle,"
Designed to deliver optimized, always-on connectivity, SOTM can provide emergency responders, travelers, and maritime users with critical communication links and internet access for complex enterprise applications while on the move. The innovative SATCOM on the Move solution offers a powerful, turnkey connectivity option, allowing end-users to connect to the internet wherever they are, whenever they need it. "Turnkey connectivity refers to a comprehensive and ready-to-use connectivity solution that requires minimal effort from the end-user to set up and operate. This allows users to quickly establish connectivity without worrying about the technical complexities or integration of various components. It's plug-and-play that an ordinary user could just set up and use." Said Patrick Coralde, Business Development Manager at ComClark. "With flexible Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Maximum Information Rate (MIR) packages selectable and dedicated to each terminal, ComClark ensures a best-in-class customer experience," Coralde added.
ComClark's backhaul network is powered by leading fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of ComClark. Converge ensures a reliable and high-speed connection for the SATCOM on the Move system, providing users with connectivity even while moving. Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has been at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge technologies like the Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) on an existing Hybrid Fiber Co-axial (HFC) cable TV network and offering Fiber to the Building (FTTB) technology.
The SATCOM on the Move system is expected to revolutionize how emergency responders and travelers stay connected, offering uninterrupted communication and access to essential information in various environments.
In addition to providing connectivity for emergency responders, the SATCOM on the Move system is also ideal for maritime users, recreational vehicles, and remote work setups. As the demand for reliable and portable internet solutions continues to grow, ComClark's innovative technology is poised to become a game-changer in the industry.  ComClark, as the parent company of Converge, is spearheading the exploration of new technologies to complement fiber broadband technology.
ComClark's SATCOM on the Move solution lets you stay connected no matter where your journey takes you.
