CEBU CITY—This city is looking to vaccinate at least 13,000 individuals for the fourth installment of the National Vaccination Days slated March 10-12.
Dr. Jeffrey Ibones, chief of the Cebu City Health Department, said the city is already preparing the 30 vaccinations sites for the massive inoculation drive.
Ibones said the city has asked assistance from barangay officials through the Department of Interior and Local Government to convince their constituents to have themselves vaccinated against Covid-19.
Ibones said pop-up vaccinations sites will also be put up for 12-17 years old.
For five to 11 years old, vaccination sites will be at the Cebu City Sports Center, Ayala Center-Cebu and Robinsons Galleria.
“We are implementing guidelines for the five and 11 years old,” said Ibones.
Ibones also assured that the city will have sufficient manpower for the three-day vaccination drive.
The city has coordinated with several medical schools in the city to ensure that there will be enough personnel for the series of vaccination drives.
“We are confident that we can achieve our target,” said Ibones.
As of March 7, the city has already vaccinated 836,674 adult individuals out of the 1,117,239 who registered for vaccination.
The city has already admnistered 100,144 booster shots.
For the pediatric vaccination, 59,180 children aged 12-17 have already received their first dose while 46,852 are already fully vaccinated.
For the five to 11-year-old bracket, 5,270 have gotten their first dose and only one has been fully vaccinated.
