Cadiz District Hospital designated COVID-19 center in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY - Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has recently issued a Memorandum Order, establishing Cadiz District Hospital as center for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Negros Occidental.
Lacson stated in the memorandum that there was a need to establish a hospital that shall act as the COVID-19 center in the province, following the declaration of President Duterte of a state of public health emergency, and state of calamity in the country due to COVID-19.
Lacson, in the memorandum, said that the health institution located in northern part of the province will cater to all patients under investigation (PUIs) and COVID-19 positive Negrenses who are considered to have mild and moderate cases. They shall receive proper treatment until they are fit to be discharged.
The memorandum also said that all PUIs and COVID-19 positive patients with serious cases shall be immediately referred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here, and will also receive proper treatment until they are fit to be discharged.
The governor directed all the city and municipal mayors, all provincial government departments, and all chiefs of hospitals to strictly comply with the order.
