The government is planning to turn an island at the Manila Bay and a drug rehabilitation center in Nueva Ecija as quarantine sites for returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Wuhan City and other areas heavily affected by the 2019 novel corona virus (2019nCoV) in China.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said ocular inspection was already done by government health officials at the naval facilities of the Caballo Island on Friday.

The Caballo Island has been used before as quarantine sites, especially for returning Filipino peacekeepers.
The Fort Magsaysay Drug Rehabilitation Center in Nueva Ecija, on the other hand, is expected to be visited on Saturday.
It was recalled that the government has expressed willingness to transport the trapped Filipinos in Wuhan City and Hubei province back to the Philippines.
Wuhan City in Hubei province is tagged as the ground zero of the 2019-nCoV.
The two areas are currently under lockdown as China's way of preventing the spread of the virus.
But several cases of 2019-nCoV were already confirmed in various parts of the world in the past days, the recent was in the Philippines.
The returning OFWs from Wuhan City and Hubei are expected to be quarantined in the two areas for 14 days after their arrival.
If they would not show signs of the virus infection, they would be allowed to go.
Government officials have been on highest alert to contain the spread of the 2019-nCoV in the country amid reported cases of several people placed under observation in some parts of the country. (With a report from Analou de Vera)
