Bulacan will be placed under Alert Level 3 on Jan. 5 - 15 due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

On Monday, Jan. 3, 160 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) in the province.
The PHO said that out of the 92,483 COVID-19 confirmed cases in the province, 90,450 have recovered while 551 remain as active cases.
There was one new reported death, bringing the total number of COVID-19 fatalities to 1,482.
The PHO said that of the 551 active cases, 190 are asymptomatic, 338 have mild and moderate symptoms, 23 are severe but none of them are critical. Seven are admitted in the hospital, 17 in a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility, while 527 are under home isolation.
The five areas with the highest number of active cases are Malolos with 106, City of San Jose Del Monte with 80, Marilao with 57, Sta Maria with 49, and Plaridel with 46.
