Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando has issued an order to strictly implement various policies against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), such as curfew hours and liquor ban, "to ensure the utmost protection of the health and safety" of the residents of the province.

Under Executive Order No. 8 Series of 2021 signed on March 16, 2021, curfew hours of 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. shall be enforced starting on Wednesday, March 17.
No individual will also be allowed to sell, carry, or consume alcoholic beverages in public and private places until April 17, 2021, as requested by the officials of the cities, municipalities, and law enforcement agencies in the province.
The order also said that border quarantine checkpoints will also return "in order to contain COVID-19 at the critical areas of the province."
Fernando appealed for patience from his constituents and also sought help from the police and the military to provide the necessary assistance to ensure the public's compliance with the health protocols.
As of Tuesday, March 16, the province has 1,175 active cases of COVID-19.
