Bongbong's HQ remains closed after more staff test positive for COVID-19

Presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s headquarters in Mandaluyong City will remain closed after the number of its staff members who tested positive for COVID-19 rose to 68.

Initially, only 30 staff members yielded positive test results in an antigen test last Monday.

The presidential aspirant's continued closure came after a comprehensive reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction or RT-PCR test was finally conducted among HQ staff on Friday.

While some employees were asked to go home, Marcos Jr.'s camp said relief works will continue to help those affected by recent Typhoon "Odette."

"This (distribution of relief goods) cannot stop because the typhoon victims needed it badly and we have to keep our promise to help them get back on their feet," said UniTeam's political officer and former Davao 2nd District Rep. Anton Lagdameo.

"Bongbong was saddened by the unwelcome developments, but advised everyone to stay focused and let not their spirits be dampened because right now our major concern is still our fellowmen who were affected by typhoon Odette and by the new surge of coronavirus," he added.
