Bicol solon announces plans for new Legazpi hospital

Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co is eyeing the construction of a new, state-of-the-art, 20-story hospital in Legazpi, Albay. "The healthcare system in Bicol needs improvement, and building a new hospital in Legaspi is a step towards achieving that goal," Co, chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, said in a statement Sunday, March 26. "We hope that this new hospital will benefit not only the people of Albay but also the neighboring provinces in Bicol," he added. Co said the Legazpi hospital will be equipped with modern facilities and a team of highly qualified medical professionals. Although he has yet to give additional details of the hospital, the House leader said It is envisioned to provide easy access to healthcare services to the people in Bicol as well as address healthcare disparities in the region. Co, who is on his second term as Ako Bicol Party-list congressman, said he is committed to improving the lives of his fellow Bicolanos.
