By Freddie Velez  CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Baliwag Mayor Ferdie Estrella was reported by Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando to have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) together with two women from San Jose del Monte City and the municipality of Bulakan. Fernando announced Sunday afternoon that the 40-year-old Estrella, erstwhile known as PH152; a 58-year-old woman from San Jose del Monte City known as PH21, and PH413, a 31-year-old female frm Bulakan, were earlier confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19, but have recently tested negative twice based on rapid, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests. According to the record, Estrella received his confirmation test on March 16, and recovered on March 29. PH21’s confirmation test was dated March 9, and she was reported to have recovered on April 6, while PH413 was confirmed COVID-19 positive on March 22, and recovered six days later. Estrella has been discharged from St. Luke’s Medical Center BGC, PH21 from the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, and PH413 from the Makati Medical Center. Estrella shared in his Facebook page his experience from the moment he felt ill, when he tested positive for COVID-19, and the fear he felt while being intubated, up to the time he came home to his family to start undergoing the 14-day quarantine. He said he was grateful to the front-liners, and for all the prayers and well wishes that made him strong during his confinement. Dr. Jocelyn Gomez, PHO-PH head said that aside from these three recoveries, there were 15 other patients who have either clinically improved, still under quarantine and waiting for their test results to be negative. “Inaasahan natin na mas marami pang magrerecover kasi sa confirmed patients natin marami ang clinically nag-iimprove,” Gomez shared. As of 4 p.m. Saturday, the Bulacan COVID-19 Surveillance Team updated its list to 60 confirmed COVID-19 patients, 14 deaths and 596 active patients under investigation.
