A medical certificate indicating that the person is coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-free is required in the absence of the travel authority issued by the Philippine National Police (PNP). Under this system being implemented in Baguio City, persons entering the city are required to undergo initial triage at the checkpoints set up at the various entry points to the city at the Kennon View Deck, Marcos Highway, Naguilian Road, Magsaysay Road, and TipTop Ambuklao. “We stress that the same rule applies to all VIPs and PNP members whether they are entering Baguio on their own, or serving as an escort or security to somebody.,” Magalong said. He said the city was exerting its best efforts to contain the contagion through these rules, and insisted that the protocols be respected to be fair to the residents who painstakingly sacrifice to make the city COVID-free. “Baguio's ace against COVID-19 is its discipline. Its people take the rules to heart. So please do as the Baguioans do follow our rules even before you get to our place,” he said.
