BACOOR CITY, Cavite - A sitio here was placed on lockdown due to four new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) starting at 12 a.m. on Thursday.
Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla said Sitio Aroma in Barangay Zapote 5 has been cordoned off and no resident will be allowed to leave the area. The lockdown will last until June 15.
Family members and neighbors of the COVID-19 patients are set to undergo rapid testing.
The city government will provide relief packs to residents throughout the lockdown period.
"Hinihiling po namin ang inyong kooperasyon at pagsunod sa panuntunan ng isang lockdown," Revilla wrote in a Facebook post. "Ipanalangin natin ang mabilis na paggaling ng mga pasyente."
As of June 2, Bacoor City has recorded 127 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 71 recoveries and 11 mortalities.
