Asian Hospital reports more covid-19 recoveries

By Jeffrey Damicog  The Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City on Friday, April 17, reported that more of its patients have recovered from the deadly 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). “Hope sparks for the Philippines as 435 recoveries were reported against the 5,660 confirmed cases, finally surpassing the number of deaths in the country,” it said in a statement. “Asian Hospital and Medical Center reports 39 patients who were sent home with improved health status since January,” it disclosed. “As one community and family, the steps taken to abolish COVID-19 is effective and being felt,” it added. In the meantime, the hospital said it currently has in admission 29 COVID-19 patients and 45 persons under investigation (PUIs). On the other hand, it has quarantined 67 of its healthcare workers who are suspected to have been exposed to COVID-19. One of its physicians, Dr. Mary Grace Lim, passed away last April 6 after succumbing to COVID-19. There have been 23 patients who died at the Asian Hospital due to COVID-19.
