Asian Hospital reports 40 recoveries from COVID-19

  By Jeffrey Damicog The Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City reported on Monday, April 20, that a total 40 of its patients have recovered from the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). “Blessings continuously pour for the Philippines as 56 new recoveries were reported, making a total of 572 Filipinos with improved health status against the 6,259 confirmed cases in the country,” it said in a statement. “With this, Asian Hospital and Medical Center reports another discharged patient, resulting to 40 patients reunited with their families since January,” the hospital reported. Meanwhile, the hospital said it currently has in admission 25 COVID-19 patients and 34 persons under investigation (PUI). On the other hand, the hospital has quarantined 81 of its healthcare workers for possible exposure to COVID-19. Just over the weekend, the institution reported it has quarantined 67 of its healthcare workers. The hospital already lost one of its physicians, Dr. Mary Grace Lim, who passed away last April 6 after succumbing to COVID-19.
