Angeles City gov't readies distribution of more food packs

"Being faced with the community quarantine, we want to provide consistently to our people, making sure no one suffers from hunger.'' According to the city mayor, the distribution will be the third relief operation, following the 70, 705 food packs that were already distributed in 33 barangays in the city. Lazatin said that while the goal was to provide every Angeleño household with food packs, indigent families or those in the marginalized sectors were its priority. "Because they are affected the most,'' he said, referring to indigents. He assured that the needs of his constituents will be continuously addressed until the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine is lifted. Tactician Director IC Calaguas, the mayor's chief adviser, who is supervising the preparation, said that each food pack contain four kilos of rice and 10 canned goods, which is good for a family of five persons for four days.
