Carmelo Arcilla, Executive Director (CAB) said airlines are advised to cancel their flights on June 1, 2020 and to stop selling tickets for the same date.
Some local carriers have been working closely with the government concerned prior to their announcement of their scheduled flights.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesman Eric Apolonio said, the airline should comply with the requirements and approval coming from IATF and local government Units before flying going to their destinations.
Some passengers thought that the operations of airlines have started, and they proceeded to the airport terminals. It was announced that domestic flights are set to reopen on June 8, 2020.
