BACOLOD CITY - Seventy-six returning residents in Negros Occidental, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who have been stranded in Manila, arrived in the province via a sweeper flight on Sunday.

The Negrense returnees on board a Cebu Pacific flight arrived at the Bacolod-Silay Airport in Silay City over the weekend, according to the provincial government.
Sixty-eight were placed under the mandatory 14-day quarantine at the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia town, while the eight others were picked up by their respective local government units for quarantine in their towns and cities.
They will all undergo swab testing for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Meanwhile, the province is also expecting 223 OFWs to arrive Monday via 2GO Malasakit voyage.
Of the total number, 135 are from the province while 88 are from Bacolod.
