The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday reported 13 new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) and 15 new recoveries among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 8,627.

No new fatality was mentioned in the report.
These latest figures were gathered from Philippine foreign service posts in only four different countries. The DFA also noted that the number of countries/regions with COVID-19 cases among Filipinos is now 62, up from last week’s 61, after a country from the Americas confirmed a new case.
To date, the Middle East remains to be the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among Filipinos abroad.
Further, Asia and the Pacific region have the least numbers in all categories except the total number of recoveries where the Americas ranks lowest with only 375 recoveries.
