5 new COVID-19 cases in Zamboanga

By Nonoy Lacson ZAMBOANGA CITY - Zamboanga City recorded five new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases on Tuesday, increasing the total tally to 190, according to the Zamboanga City Task Force on COVID-19 (ZCTF COVID-19). Zamboanga City mayor and chair of ZCTF COVID-19 Maria Isabel Climaco said ZC186 is a 21-year-old male and student from Barangay Baliwasan. He was in close contact with ZC145 and ZC155. He is asymptomatic and is isolated at ADZU-Lantaka Isolation Facility. ZC187, 27, is a returning overseas Filipino worker who arrived in the city last June 6 via Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Zamboanga City by land. He has been isolated at ADZU-Lantaka Isolation Facility ZC188 is 23 years old, male, student and a locally stranded individual (LSI) from Cebu. He arrived in this city last June 10 via a Philippine Naval Ship. He is currently symptomatic and admitted at the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) COVID-19 referral Hospital. ZC189 is 69 years old, female, and an LSI from Cebu City. She arrived in this city last May 31, 2020 via the sweeper flight. She is asymptomatic and isolated at the ADZU-Lantaka Isolation Facility. ZC190 is a 68-year old male from Barangay Talon-Talon. He is symptomatic and was admitted at the ZCMC with diagnosis: Community Acquired Pneumonia - Moderate Risk. Contact tracing is in progress. The mayor urged everyone to comply with the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) guidelines specifically, the minimum health standards, like the wearing of face masks, frequent hand-washing, and social distancing.
