BACOLOD CITY - Another batch of returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Manila came home to Negros Occidental this week via air and sea travel.

A total of 228 OFWs arrived at the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. (Bredco) port onboard 2Go Malasakit last Monday, while 110 others arrived at the Bacolod-Silay Airport in Silay City via Air Asia sweeper flight last Wednesday.
Of the 228 repatriates, 99 were from Bacolod and 129 others were from various cities and towns in the province.
Meanwhile, the 110 repatriates, who were flown in, were composed of 71 residents in the province and 39 from Bacolod.
Early Friday, 93 OFWs also arrived via Air Asia sweeper flight at the airport in Silay City. Of the 93 passengers, 65 were residents of the province while 28 were from Bacolod.
They will proceed to the processing facility for medical check-up and Reverse Transcription - Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing.
All returning OFWs will undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in their designated quarantine centers here.
