BAGUIO CITY – The number of 2019 novel Coronavirus (nCoV) cases in the Cordillera region has gone up to four, according to the Department of Health Friday, February 7.
DOH Cordillera Officer-in-Charge Dr. Amelita Pangilinan said the persons under investigation (PUIs) are now under quarantine at a health facility and were all in stable condition.
“By stable we mean that they do not have complications and we are just waiting for the confirmatory test results from the RITM,” Pangilinan said.
Pangilinan said three of the PUIs were female. The four persons under quarantive were aged two, 23, 27 and 57 years old.
She added that two of the suspected nCoV carriers were from Benguet, one from Mountain Province, and another from this city.
Pangilinan said that the all four PUIs voluntarily submitted themselves for testing and quarantine after going on vacation in Hong Kong for a few days.
“They are not OFWs they jus visited Hong Kong for a few days,” Pangilinan said.
