38 more Filipinos abroad test positive for COVID-19

By Roy Mabasa  The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday said 38 more overseas Filipinos have been tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while 10 new cases of recoveries and one fatality were reported in the Americas, the Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East regions. The DFA noted that the updated figures showed that the total number of Filipinos abroad who have recovered from the disease remains higher than the total number of deaths. On the expected resumption of repatriations of distressed and displaced overseas Filipinos, the DFA reiterated its call for those affected by the suspension of flights to contact the nearest consulate or embassy where they are currently situated through the OFW Help Facebook page and the official DFA website.
