35 OFWs stranded in Cebu return home to Negros Occidental

By Glazyl Masculino BACOLOD CITY - The Provincial Incident Management Team in Negros Occidental facilitated the arrival of the 35 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), who were stranded in Cebu due to the travel restrictions imposed by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). (Capitol PIO / MANILA BULLETIN) (Capitol PIO / MANILA BULLETIN) The Negrense OFWs arrived in the province last week via the Escalante City Port. Of the 35 OFWs, 15 were from Bacolod City, while 20 others were from various cities and municipalities in the province. They were subjected to various medical tests. They were all sent directly to the Provincial Healing Center in E.B. Magalona town, where they will undergo a 14-day quarantine. The healing center is intended for persons under investigations (PUIs) in the province. It can accommodate 300 individuals. Each house is equipped with electricity, a comfort room, water facility and good ventilation. Initially, 34 of them were non-reactive to the virus during the initial rapid test, and one is reactive. The results will be forwarded to Iloilo City for confirmation.
