The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed on Friday that there are now 31 people under investigation (PIU) for suspected 2019 novel Coronavirus (nCoV).

One day after the health department confirmed the first case of the viral disease in the country, DOH clarified that there are only 31 patients under observation for the deadly respiratory disease.
DOH Epidemiology Bureau director Dr. Ferchito Avelino earlier told CNN Philippines that 56 people are under observation.
The first confirmed case in the country involves a 38-year-old woman from Wuhan, China. The woman is currently admitted at the San Lazaro Hospital in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
