The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong disclosed on Friday that three more Filipinos in the territory have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infected Filipinos to 16.

"Today the Hong Kong Health Department officially informed the Philippine Consulate General that three more Filipinos have tested positive for COVID-19," the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong said in a statement dated on March 26.
"The Philippine Consulate General is extending all necessary assistance to them," it added.
As of Thursday (March 26), the confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 16 and are now undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Hong Kong.
The PH's Consulate General advised Filipinos in Hong Kong to stay at home, avoid crowded places and to practice social distancing.
"Due to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in Hong Kong, the Philippine Consulate General appeals to the Filipino community to stay at home whenever possible and if there is a need to go out to make sure to avoid crowded places and practice social distancing," said the consulate general.
It also asked Hong Kong employers to respect the rest day of domestic workers who choose to stay at home.
"The Consulate General earnestly requests the Filipino Community’s cooperation in fighting the disease. Maraming salamat po! (Thank you very much)," said the consulate general.
