DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health - Davao Center for Health Development (DOH-DCHD) reported on Wednesday that 25 additional cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in the region.
The DOH said Davao region has posted a total of 843 COVID-19 cases, 335 of which were active cases.
According to the latest COVID-19 Situationer released by DOH Wednesday night, 13 of the new cases were from Davao City, five from Davao del Norte, three from Davao Oriental, two from Davao de Oro, one case each from Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental.
Based on the profiles released on Thursday, nine of the new cases were returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from the Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, England and Kuwait. While 10 were locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from Manila and Paranaque.
Three deaths were also recorded on Wednesday. Two of these fatalities included a 39-year-old man from Barangay Daliao, and a 63-year-old man from Barangay Lubogan, who were both from Toril District here. The other one was a 71-year-old man from Carahayan in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.
The DOH said eight recoveries were also reported. Four of which are from Davao City, three from Davao del Norte, and one from Davao del Sur.
Davao region has recorded a total of 42 deaths and 466 recoveries.
