22 more COVID-19 patients recover at Asian Hospital

By Jeffrey Damicog More patients at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City have recovered from the deadly 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). “Asian Hospital and Medical Center has discharged 22 patients with improved health status,” the hospital said in a statement on Wednesday, April 8. “The power of proper hand hygiene, social distancing, and cough etiquette will help lessen COVID-19 cases when practiced everyday. Let us do our part in preventing the spread of the disease,” it reminded the public. The Asian Hospital currently has in admission 36 COVID-19 patients and 25 persons under investigation (PUI) of having the virus. Among them, 14 are currently in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU). Meanwhile, the hospital has in quarantine 44 health workers. One of its physicians, Dr. Mary Grace Lim, passed away last April 6 after succumbing to COVID-19. A total of 19 COVID-19 patients have died at the hospital.
