2 new recoveries, 2 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in La Union and Pangasinan

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union - The Department of Health Region 1 has reported two new recoveries and an additional two new confirmed COVID-19 cases in this province and Pangasinan on Wednesday, May 13.
The reported new recoveries are from La Union -- a 75-year-old female from San Fernando City, and an 88-year-old male from barangay Nagrebcan, Luna, La Union . The female patient was admitted at Lorma Medical Center on April 24 and tested positive on April 27. Her 1st and 2nd negative results were released on May 11 and 12, respectively. She was discharged from the hospital on the same day that her 2nd negative result was released.
The other new recovery was admitted at Lorma Medical Center on April 16 and tested positive on April 27. His 1st and 2nd negative results were released on May 11 and 12, respectively. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow.
La Union recorded one new case in a 65-year-old male from barangay Cadapli, Bangar town. He has no travel history and unknown exposure. The patient felt the symptoms on May 6 and was admitted immediately at the Ilocos Training Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) on the same day. He was confirmed on May 13 after receiving the confirmatory result from the Baguio General Hospital.
The other confirmed case is a 29-year-old male from barangay Dupac in Asingan, Pangasinan. He has travel history to the NCR. The onset of symptoms was felt on April 30 and he sought medical consultation on May 7. His confirmatory result was released on May 13. He is now on strict home quarantine.
Region 1 recorded a total of 62 confirmed cases, 41 recoveries, 12 deaths, eight admitted in hospitals, and one under strict home quarantine.
