2 more Pinoys in Ukraine want to return to PH

Two more Filipinos are expected from Ukraine are expected to arrive in the country amid the escalating tension over Russia's reported plan of invasion.

The two Filipinos have already informed the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of their intention to go home. They were reportedly given assurance of assistance on their flight back to the Philippines.

The United States and the United Kingdom were quoted saying in reports that Russia has already started its invasion of Ukraine.

Hans Leo Cacdac, administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), said only a few of the more than 300 Filipinos in Ukraine have signified interest to go home.

last week, five Filipinos, including a child with Ukrainian father, arrived in the country as they availed of government's repatriation program.
