BAGUIO CITY - Fresh lockdown orders have been issued Wedneday, April 15, by Mayor Benjie Magalong in Barangays Pacdal and T. Alonzo, following the detection of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection in one of the residents of Maria Basa St. in Pacdal.
Magalong said. Barangay T. Alonzo was included as a precautionary measure as it was one of the places visited by the wife of the patient.
The ordered came after a 77-year-old male stroke patient from Barangay Pacdal was diagnosed as city's newest COVID-19 case
Magalong said the patient’s wife claimed that she attended a cooperative meeting in Barangay T. Alonzo on April 11, and that the other time she left home was when she sought medical attention on April 2 because of her cough which subsided after she drank her medicines.
He thanked her for being cooperative. He said contact tracing will continue and that he was now trying to convince the patient to reveal his identity to help facilitate it.
Only essential travels in and out of said barangays will be allowed for now.
