17 COVID-19 patients recover at Asian Hospital

  By Jeffrey Damicog The Asian Hospital and Medical Center on Monday said that it has discharged a total of 17 patients who recovered from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Asian Hospital and Medical Center (Facebook) Asian Hospital and Medical Center (Facebook) “Asian Hospital and Medical Center has discharged 17 patients with improved health status and were reunited with their families,” it said in a statement. “Everyone is encouraged to practice hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and social distancing at all times to help flatten the curve of the COVID-19 cases,” it reminded the public. The hospital said that it currently has in admission 36 patients with COVID-19 and 24 persons under investigation (PUIs). Among them are 14 patients under its intensive care unit (ICU) as of 8 a.m. Monday. The hospital added that it also placed under quarantine 27 health workers due to possible exposure to COVID-19. Since January 23, the Asian Hospital has screened a total of 543 PUIs, among whom, 115 were confirmed to have COVID-19, including 18 who died.
